Manufacturing nets since 1910 |
| Driven by a passion for sport fishing, Carlo Badinotti founded a fishing net factory in 1910. So it was with passion and determination that the Badinotti Company was founded. Many things have changed since the days of that modest beginning. However, the company spirit of passion and determinations remain unchanged. |
|
| Throughout these years the Badinotti father to son management has followed one steady principle: excellence in product quality. As a result, Badinotti S.p.A., has grown to be a global manufacturer of netting, with plants located in Italy, Chile and Peru Good entrepreneurial decisions together with the vast experience acquired in time, have brought about considerable results: Today, the Badinotti Company is recognized as one of the world leaders in the production of knotless netting with raschel looms. Badinotti first introduced these looms into the fishing net world in 1962. |

Badinotti employs the most modern machinery and offers a huge range of both knotted and knotless netting in nylon, polyester, polypropylene, and polyethylene for aquaculture, fishing, safety and sport. In a dynamic industry with constant changes, our company recognizes the need to employ the newest technologies available and thereby producing the best netting more efficiently and in wider widths. We can boast of a large production capacity and thus offering excellent delivery times. This allows us to supply product with the best durability and weight/breaking-strength ratios in the industry. While some manufacturers have high variations in breaking strength, our netting has very consistent properties. High yarn quality ensures consistent product performance. Vertical integration allows the company to carry out the complete production process: weaving, fixing, dyeing and quality control of final product. However, Badinotti, Italy does not manufacture finished products. Whatever the final use, each net warrants specific properties: resistance; durability; volume and weight. |

We choose to purchase 1 st grade, UV treated yarn, specifically manufactured for netting applications. It meets strictest quality standards for breaking strength requirements and is also tested with Xenon-arc equipment for exposure to UV. All incoming yarn shipments undergo testing to verify product quality. We are also currently evaluating a computerized management system for the entire production process. This system will save additional processing time due to real time up dating the production status of every order. The company's dedication to quality is also evident by monitoring the following standards by our in-house quality assurance laboratories and are monitored for: • Shrinkage • Mesh size • Colour consistency in dyed netting • Break strength • Consistent weight of netting • Yarn quality from suppliers (yarn that does not meet UV requirements, tenacity and other important factors for the production of netting is rejected and returned to its suppliers) • Monitoring of netting for residual breaking strength after exposure. Badinotti’s technical department keeps close relationships with yarn and equipment suppliers to ensure that the best customer service and product quality is offered. Upon completion, the netting undergoes a final inspection process. This ensures that every shipment will meet specific properties for resistance, durability, volume and weight. |
