Badinotti Marine Submersible Cages

The use of submersible cages allows farmers to develop aquaculture activities in exposed and unprotected sea sites, improving the potential production of the coastal regions, while ensuring the environmental sustainability of farming sites. Using an approximate 20 – 30 minutes/cage, the cages can be submersed depending on the design and planned bathymetry in the underwater position.

The advantage of using a submersible cage compared to traditional floating frames is to significantly decrease the risk of biomass loss and, consequently, the potential high economic loss. Furthermore, recent factual evidence on sea-lice attack protection and algae blooms points to prevention with a deeper net installation. This extends the application of submersible cages.

Badinotti offers a quality submersible system in models Oceanis 1 and Oceanis 2.

OCEANIS 1

The technology used in OCEANIS 1 submersible cage best combines the typical features of a floating cages, such as the easy access and management during the day by day farming activities, with the safety in terms of resistance to force of the wave-motion allowed by a totally submersed position.

OCEANIS 1 cage come from more than 10 years of offshore fish farming experiences.

OCEANIS 2

The technology used in OCEANIS 2 submersible cage best combines the typical features of a floating cages, such as the easy access and management during the day by day farming activities, with the safety in terms of resistance to force of the wave-motion allowed by a totally submersed position.

OCEANIS 2 cage come from more than 10 years of offshore fish farming experiences.
