Based on your experience within the aquaculture industry, why is sustainable aquaculture so important?

Sustainable aquaculture is critical as a nutritious food source as the world’s population is forecasted to increase by 2 billion in the next 25 years. We want to advocate sustainable methods and promote transparency within the industry. There is a longstanding industry perception that needs to change.

What is the Badinotti advantage vs. other companies offering fish containment solutions?

Our advantage is multifold: we prioritize quality, are detail-oriented, and work with clients individually to customize solutions to their needs. Using our Badinotti 360 Business model, we approach each project as a unique opportunity and our clients feel that individual experience.

What do you love about your current position?

I enjoy the hunt to uncover hidden and unique opportunities that fall right into our wheelhouse of manufacturing capabilities. I enjoy identifying problems and challenges that our clients face. Then, we collectively find solutions to those problems with the help and hard work of our entire team,

What other net products does Badinotti offer?

We make a variety of net products that fall outside of aquaculture. A few examples are Sports, Industrial, and Utility nets.

What are some highlights of living in Maine?

In many ways, Maine is quite similar to our North American Head Quarters in Campbell River, BC. Maine is a state whose heritage and identity are rooted in the fishing and logging industries.

Maine has a remarkable feeling. Growing up on the ocean has been a special privilege and is the reason I am so passionate about the fishing industry and conservation.
